Yin Yoga is a complementary yoga practice to the more dynamic and invigorating yoga styles. Physically, Yin Yoga restores and maintains the natural mobility of the joints and deep connective tissues. Energetically, it opens the body’s meridian system, which supports health and emotional equilibrium. And with its emphasis on stillness and silence, Yin Yoga offers opportunities for self-reflection and meditation.
Using a lecture and video format, the first part of the workshop will introduce the basis for the claims above. The second part will be an extended Yin practice providing opportunities to experience the concepts in your body.
